Seek Process: Collections through the years

With wrapping up Seek Collective as a brand focused on women's wear and some what seasonal collections, I've been looking through the past collections since 2014 (though I first started working on things in 2012).  Only natural materials of silk, cotton, and/or wool was used for everything designed, sampled, and produced. Along every step of the of way, artisans were employed for their skills in hand block printing, handloom weaving, natural dyeing, and embroidery. You can see inspiration for some of the collections via the Seek Inspiration section of our Stories journal. When I look back at all of this, I can remember where I was from the first concept through all the processes and then the final products. It's almost like a diary of my life for a decade.

It brings me a lot of joy to think of all the different people out there who own any of the pieces. They truly all hold such a dear place in my heart. The next steps for moving Seek Collective into a new era are taking time, which makes sense as Seek has always been about slow fashion with processes that take a lot of time. Meanwhile, have fun looking at the visual way Seek has taken form over the years.  The final AW2023 capsules were not all put into production in the end as it was then I began to reconsider how to move forward. You will see some of the fabrics from those capsules though in the new Seek as they were produced before the decision to pause production happened. So that is something to look forward to!
